Life at GraniteHill

A variety of lifestyle activities at GraniteHill allow residents the opportunity to pick and choose the activities they wish to take part in each day and our program operates 7 days per week.

Residents enjoy a variety of activities like arts and crafts, cooking, walking groups, bus outings, bingo and movies in the cinema. We have recently hosted ferret races, a variety of guest speakers and enjoy local football livestreamed most Saturdays.

GraniteHill residents enjoy live concerts in the facility from local artists, exercise sessions in our own gym or arm chair exercises in the morning. We also never pass up an opportunity to have the local children from early learning and primary schools who come into the facility to enjoy story time, book week and a game of 10 pin bowls.

Residents at GraniteHill can still continue to use their General Practitioner of choice and there is onsite access to Allied Health Professionals including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Dieticians and Podiatrists who visit the facility.

Our catering team oversee the planning and preparation of meals for our 85 residents at GraniteHill, and patients at the GV Health Euroa Hospital. In collaboration with residents, new and varied menus are developed each season to ensure enjoyable, varied, nutritious meals and drinks, providing an enjoyable dining experience by our Food Service team.

GraniteHill Aged Care has recently changed to buffet lunch service, aligning with the updated Aged Care Quality Standards, to empower residents with the freedom to make informed choices about their meals and dining experience.

Under this new approach, residents who are using the buffet service, select their preferred protein from the menu order a day in advance.  On the actual day, they choose from a variety of sides dishes, and importantly, determine the portion size of their meal.

At the social centre of GraniteHill, the Café continues to bring residents, visitors and staff together for coffee, snacks or light meals prepared by our catering team.

Our GraniteHill Café is conveniently located within the GraniteHill Aged Care facility and is open daily—9:00am to 3:30pm on weekdays and 10:00am to 3:00pm on weekends.

Operated by Euroa Health, the café offers a delicious range of homemade meals, cakes, and slices prepared fresh in our kitchen. With so many options available, our staff, residents, and families are truly spoilt for choice. The coffee machine is always in use, keeping everyone fueled with their favourite hot drink.

GraniteHill Café is open to the general public (subject to any COVID restrictions), making it an inviting and convenient place for residents’ families and friends to meet and spend time together—whether in the café, along the Bowerbird Walkway, or outside in the courtyard.

Gift vouchers and coffee cards are also available, allowing residents to enjoy the café experience at their leisure without the need to carry cash

Located within the GraniteHill Aged Care facility, next to the café, is a private dining room available for family and friends to book for special occasions or gatherings with their loved one.

The room is available at no cost, and bookings can be made through Reception on (03) 5795 0200.

The courtyard area at GraniteHill is an alternative venue for Residents families and friends to host events and special occasions outside with their family members. A barbeque built into a spacious outdoor area to enable opportunities for self-catering. The use of the area is free and bookings can be made via our reception team on (03) 5795 0200.
