The role of the Euroa Health Inc board of directors is to oversee the direction & strategy of Euroa Health. The board of director’s are volunteers and local community members with a range of financial, business, community and health sector expertise.

Board Chair
Chris has spent most of his life living in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne before deciding on a “tree change” and relocating to Euroa in 2023.
With strong family connections to the health sector and over 30 years’ experience in the Information Technology sector, most recently in the transport and finance areas, Chris is keen to share his knowledge and expertise with the team at Euroa Health.

Lisa is a Registered Nurse and has worked in a variety of clinical and senior executive management roles across the public health sector, local government, residential aged care, community care and is currently working casually as a Registered Nurse.
Lisa thrives on challenges and is values driven and she is committed to making a difference to health and wellbeing in the local community.

Simon is a Director of a law firm and practising commercial lawyer who recently moved to Euroa to live, having always had a family connection to the region.
As a father of young children, Simon is interested in the provision of local health services to all generations in the community.

Dr David Kelly

Dr David Kelly
Dr David Kelly has been a long term resident of Euroa since 1983, enjoying a small farm in the Gooram valley with Ann and the family. David worked as a GP at Euroa Medical Family Practice from 1983-1995 and again from 2005 until his retirement in 2020.
From 1995 until 2005 Dr Kelly undertook a number of roles including Director Emergency Dept GVH (1995-1998), Executive Director GVGP’s (1998-2005), GP at Lister House Shepparton along with stints providing refugee health for Kosovo and East Timor refugees at Puckapunyal and Aboriginal Health at Kakadu.
In addition Dr Kelly was a Board Director of GVGP’s (1996-1998), Inaugural Chair (2000-2001) and Director of Bogong GP training (2000-2015) and Director of EMFP (2005-2020). He has undertaken Management and Board training over the years including the AICD course.

Mrs Catriona King

Catriona has had extensive experience in the agriculture, healthcare and biotechnology industries in public and private sector organisations.
She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has expertise in strategic leadership, corporate and clinical governance, financial management, risk management, program evaluation and organisational change.

Mr Chris Thomson

Mr Chris Thomson
Chris has lived in Euroa and district all of his life. He owns and operates Thomson’s Betta Home Living in Euroa.
He has assisted many community groups over the years. His current roles include being the Strathbogie CFA Group Officer, a Euroa Cemetery Trust member and a Justice of Peace.
Chris and his wife Tracey operate a productive fine wool sheep property in Strathbogie.

A long involvement in farming, business and community roles has rewarded David with not only a long service history but also deep connections and a sound understanding of rural life.
Overseeing strategic and financial performance as well as managing the very important interaction between employees and stakeholders for more than 30 years are other valuable assets he brings to his board position.
As recently retired farmer after 32 years at Nathalia, David & his wife Sue have recently settled at Creighton’s Creek near Euroa, where he hopes to continue contributing to the community.

Andrew has been operating his own Finance Broking Business in Shepparton since 2003 following a 15 year career with one of the big bank’s. Previous community involvements have been linked to the lives of his 2 children through School Board and Sporting club roles. What attracted Andrew to getting involved on the Euroa Health Board was the opportunity to be involved in the Euroa community after relocating to Creighton’s Creek in late 2020. The Euroa Health facilities are a wonderful reflection of both the need and generosity of the Euroa community so it was an obvious opportunity to get involved.

Melissa Seymour
Chief Executive Officer
Melissa Seymour is the Chief Executive Officer of Euroa Health, a role she has held since April 2023. Since stepping into this leadership position, Melissa has made a significant impact, advancing Euroa Health’s mission to provide high-quality, accessible healthcare services to the local community.
In her first year as CEO, Melissa successfully led the transition of Euroa Health from a private to a public hospital, a strategic move that expands access to essential healthcare services and aligns with the organisation’s long-term vision for sustainable growth. This milestone has strengthened Euroa Health’s position as a key healthcare provider in the region, ensuring that the community has access to high-quality care that meets its evolving needs.
In addition to this achievement, Melissa oversaw the opening of 10 new aged care beds, a critical expansion that responds to the growing demand for residential aged care services. This expansion is part of Melissa’s broader commitment to meeting the needs of an ageing population and enhancing the healthcare infrastructure for residents in the Euroa region.
Melissa initially joined Euroa Health as the Innovation and Special Projects Manager in April 2021. Her agile approach to leadership played a pivotal role in advancing the goals outlined in Euroa Health’s Strategic Plan. One of her proudest accomplishments during this period was successfully reinstating X-ray services in Euroa. With qualifications including a Bachelor of Health Sciences, a Graduate Certificate in Public Relations and Communications, and being a recent graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Melissa brings a strong foundation in healthcare leadership and governance to her role as CEO. Her family’s long-standing connection to the region, further fuel her passion for serving the community and driving positive change in healthcare.
Under Melissa’s leadership, Euroa Health continues to evolve and adapt, enhancing healthcare services for the community and positioning the organisation for continued success and growth.

Angela Marchant
Aged Care Manager/Director of Nursing
Angela started her career in Aged Care in England at the young age of 16. Angela trained as a Registered Nurse 30 years ago, working as a Surgical Nurse specialising in Breast Care Nursing.
Upon arriving in Australia 15 years ago, Angela began working in acute hospital nursing. Soon after, she recommenced aged care nursing as a manager.
Angela has a passion for Aged Care and Dementia Care and strives to ensure a high standard of care is delivered at all times.

David manages the Infrastructure and Facilities Services and is now in his eighth year working with Euroa Health.
David has many years of experience in engineering industries, positioning him with the key skills needed to manage the extensive facilities, essential services, programmed maintenance and authority regulations for the entire health service.

Jane joined Euroa Health in October 2022.
Jane’s background includes Quality Management in the emerging technology of stem cell processing and storage and several years with the Department of Defence working on Defence Bases including Defence Science and Technology Site Edinburgh SA and HMAS Cerberus VIC.
Jane is dedicated to the practice of risk management and has a keen eye for identifying and mitigating potential hazards. Her mission is to assist the team in navigating the complex landscape of uncertainty, protect Euroa Health from unexpected challenges, minimizing potential threats and maximise opportunities.
Jane has lived in Euroa since 2019 and is a member of several community organisations.
